My son (he's 6) asked what Columbus day is today. I told him it's a day that we celebrate the Europeans finding America. I figure that way it's not saying they 'discovered' it, but still says what the holiday is supposed to sort of be about.

He was a PC. If he hadn't decided to sail off the edge of the map, the GM would never have written up the whole North American Continent campaign and the Native American people would never have existed!
