... Hey, look, we found a way to make Monday ineffably worse.

My son (he's 6) asked what Columbus day is today. I told him it's a day that we celebrate the Europeans finding America. I figure that way it's not saying they 'discovered' it, but still says what the holiday is supposed to sort of be about.

I'm glad I got to celebrate Thanksgiving today with a bunch of friends. Our harvest is pretty much all in, up north here.
