Three Good Things
Feb. 13th, 2013 11:15 amThis is the sort of thing I don't do because I am afraid it will be repetitious and boring and I won't keep it up and where would I write it down if not in my LJ? But today it strikes me that these are pretty stupid reasons. If people are bored by it, the scrollbar is right there. And "because I might not continue" is not an awesome reason to never start. So, whatever, three good things about yesterday:
1. I sent my daily letter out! I have actually kept going on the February letter-writing project, much to my surprise. It was a response to a letter I received on Monday, which would totally have made my good-things-about-Monday list if I was going back to Monday, but I'm not.
2. Playing games with
3. Biking in the evening. I love that it's light enough and warm enough (albeit barely) on some evenings that I can bike outside again. Way more fun than in the dreary Basement of Doom.

Date: 2013-02-13 07:15 pm (UTC)God, I could never stationary bike in the Basement of Doom. It would never happen. You are pretty disciplined to do that. I have a hard enough time doing my exercises in the Music room of Light and Greenery :-)
Is the 3 good things supposed to be every day? I might have to do something like that.
What's the letter writing project? Is that the one I signed up for? I'm patient - no worries there :-)
I got your note - thank you! And no worries, like I said. I am a terrible correspondent myself. Thank god for email, is all I can say. But it's very true, tangible things are much better than electronic screens all the time. I can't play computer games because sitting and staring at the screen for long periods does absolutely weird things to me. I've reduced my fannish activities because I just can't sit and stare at the computer for too long at a time. Eric reads books on his iPad now but I will always always always pick print over digital for as long as I can. Urgh. (Though I do hate cutting down all those trees, poor things.)

The letter writing project is the one you signed up for, yes! :)
I still do everything in front of my computer. c_c I'm perfectly happy reading e-books on my phone or real books, really -- they both have advantages and disadvantages to me. I like checking out books from the library, but I don't really want to buy any more physical books. They take up too much space!
