Shoeless Lut

Lut stepped into the kitchen and looked around with a bewildered expression. "My shoes! Where are my shoes?"

"They're on the shoe rack," I told him.

He stared at me in mock bewilderment. "Someone stole my shoes! I left them right here." He pivoted ninety degrees and gestured to the bare floor beside the archway.

"Yes. I notice that you never put them there when we had the shoe rack there."

"Where could they be? I can't go any where without my shoes!"

I sat down in the living room to put my boots on. "And apparently can't hear anything, either."

"What?"

Fortunately, he managed to find them eventually.

I have always suspected that every man possesses the "Selective Hearing" gene. *nods wisely*

Or it just could have been the lack of shoes. ;)

Possibly one or two women have that gene, too. :) I bet it'd come in handy!
