Aug. 18th, 2008 03:35 pmI'm visiting
brennabat now. It's noon and she's still asleep; I'm debating how late to let her go before I wake her up. I may wake her at 12:30 or 1.
tahkhleet is also in town to see me, and I'm pretty sure she's already awake but I have no good way to reach her.
I've been traveling and visiting people since the Friday before last. I've been to Seattle, Everett, Bellevue, Spokane, and Vancouver in Washington, and Eugene and Portland in Oregon. Tomorrow I go home. I can't believe it's almost over.
I'll be writing it up in detail over the next few days; there'll be plenty of time to write on the flight home. I have Wednesday through Friday off too, plus the weekend, so five days of vacation in which to recover from my vacation. >:)
I haven't decided what I'm going to do in the five days I'm at home. Contenders are:
* 24-hour comic: I'm thinking about doing this again, partly inspired by
beetiger doing the 24-hour 'zine thing. It's nice because it only takes 24 hours and it'll give me a kind of accomplishment to point to.
* Clean up my house, especially the basement. I want to wash the mold off the walls and move out some of the junk and transfer stuff I'm keeping into plastic tubs so the flooding won't bother it.
* Write. I've barely worked on the novel I started last November since Nanowrimo ended, and I'd like to finish that at some point. I mean, I know how it ends and everything. It shouldn't be that hard.
* Nothing. Ahhhh, five days of blissful laziness. >:)
Since this is LJ, I'll make a poll out of it. Not that I'm going to abide by the results, of course. But polls are fun, right?
