I'm in a strange mood. My throat hurts, a little, the way it does after you've been crying, And my eyes feel a bit odd. But I haven't been crying. I don't know why I feel as though I have.

I've been thinking about stories all morning. Trying to come up with a germ around which to build a short story. And discarding things as "too long" or "too obscure" or "no point" or "incomplete". Mostly "incomplete". I'm tempted to dredge up the "too long" outline I did for a short story based on one of [livejournal.com profile] jordangreywolf's dreams, just because at least it's a complete story.

Then again, I could, you know, in theory, just keep on moving forward with one of the three ideas I've been working on for the past X months. It's not as though I desperately need to write a short story.

Somehow, though, for some reason, I really want to.

A sore throat, eh? Sounds like you built up the wrong kind of germ! [Duck!] Ahem. Anyway, I know the feeling. I think. Maybe. Okay, so maybe I can't really claim that, but I've at least had a fraction of an idea for another mini-story to write for BitzBox, based on another odd dream ... but I've just not had the drive to actually do it. I guess it's because it's a little *too* disjointed, and there's just *too much* filling in of blanks left to be done. I am so lazy! If my dreams don't do the work for me, then I hardly get anywhere....

I still can't get over that you really *dreamed* that whole Rulesbreaker saga. Wow. O.o I occasionally have dreams that I might be able to convert to stories, with a lot of work, but never anything close to (a) that complex or (b) that coherent. Goodness!
