Yesterday, Lut didn't pick me up from work, so I didn't go to the post office. But I did go today, and got my stories and envelopes and cover letters weighed and stamped and put in the mail. I have now, officially, attempted to get not one, but two short stories published by magazines which even pay money for contributions. By October, my first rejection letter should be in my hands. Woo!
I'm so proud of myself.
Now I'm going to see if this entry is too long for LJ to accept as a post.

Date: 2003-08-08 11:40 am (UTC)Their website says 8 weeks. I suppose by the time it gets to them and then back to me, it probably will be 90 days, anyway. OK, so I may have to wait until October or even November for my first reject. ;)
I know one of the magazines I was looking into said five weeks, but I don't remember if that was Asimov's or Analog.
