Halfway

Eight years ago, I took out a mortgage and purchased a house.

 

As of today, that loan is less than half the original balance.

 

I still have five or six years left to go before it's paid off, but still.  Yay!

Congratulations on being a responsible, productive citizen.

Of course, the OWS crowd would think that you're filthy rich and that you need to pay your fair share of taxes, but still.

I'm solidly in the bottom 50% of households by income, so the OWS movement is generally not targeting me for more taxes. But I do work at a bank, so I'm still an evil monster destroying all that is good and right in the world.
