"In the world of Heroes, there is no 'six degrees of Kevin Bacon'," Lut said. We've been watching the TV series via Netflix's instant watch, and are six episodes into the second season now.

I giggled. "It's more like two."

"'Heroes, by Disney. Because it really is a small world after all.'"

Phil Foglio used that line in "Stanley and His Monster": "Every story gets to have one amazing coincidence. The author is cashing his in now."

In fairness to "Heroes", a significant fraction of the 'amazing coincidences' ultimately make sense -- eg, the super powers run in families, so it's logical that X character would be related to another known member of the cast.

But even factoring out the 'this looked like a coincidence but it turns out other characters set it up' incidents, there are still Way Too Many coincidences. :P
