Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Available free for the next few hours. After that, I think you'll still be able to download it from iTunes. Worth the $4. It's good. Lives up (down?) to the name.

This is all at once hilarious, cute, well done, and really excruciating to watch somehow. Not in a bad way, this last part... I just have to pause every so often when my sympathy for him or embarrassment by proxy makes me writhe.

YES. I had that as well. Thank you for articulating it.

And I didn't like the ending. *pout* It felt a bit like taking the easy way out.

Ah, so I'm not the only one! This is probably one reason why I could never stand sitcoms. I don't like watching people in squirm-worthy situations. It makes me feel uncomfortable. But at least everything here is so brief (for the most part), and things move on to the next strange scene and/or musical number, so I was able to make it through.

Gwendel, however, gave up after the first "Act," declaring that it was too depressing. Seeing as how I'd watched the rest already, and saw what further complications came later, I didn't push her on that point.

For me it's just the laundromat scenes, and they're usually broken up before it gets truly painful. Like, the 'stop the world' song the first time 'round.

Fun, and I'll likely buy the DVD, but I refuse to use iTunes. I guess I'm just being weird/stubborn, but I don' wanna.

Huh. I didn't hear before that this was done during the Writer's Strike. Fascinating!
