"Think we should stop in at Linens & Things sometime before it closes?" Lut asks me, as we're eating dinner on the outside patio of Buffalo Wild Wings.

I glance over my shoulder at the strip mall behind us to see the big "STORE CLOSING" sign under the name. "Sure. We could use some more sheets and maybe some ... things. I don't know what else they have."

We step inside the store. "Wow. They've got a lot of other stuff." I say, meandering into the kitchenware section, as Lut trails behind and watches me shop. "We could use some new measuring cups ... "

Three hundred and seventy dollars later:

"What the hell was I thinking?" Lut asks me.

"I have no idea."

*snerk* That's me in an office supply store... ;) Or a Linens & Things. Or Sam's Club/Costco/BJs. *sigh* Hopefully, you enjoy your new "things," at least!

Office supply stores I'm fairly safe in. Warehouse clubs can be dangerous, though! Lut said that he obviously needed to take me shopping more often, as this was clearly an explosion of shopping urges all being let loose at once. :) And it has been a long time since I went shopping anywhere other than Walmart, and we usually stay out of the non-grocery section there.

I probably bought a hundred dollars' worth of just cleaning supplies yesterday. O.o On the theory that having more cleaning supplies makes me more likely to clean, which is somewhat true. I did scrub the toilet, shower, and bathroom sink after we got home last night.

The rest was ... um, two pillows, a new sheet set, a litter-box hideaway (which did not assembly properly, sigh: Lut's going to fill the mis-aligned pre-drilled holes and drill new ones), a new shaving mirror for the shower, new measuring cups ... and probably a few other miscellanea escaping my mind.

Come to think of it, it was probably more than a hundred dollars for cleaning supplies. ^.^;;

Warehouse clubs always do me in. What, you mean I can get 15 rolls of paper towels for only $10? I neeeed those!

*laughs about the cleaning supplies* I always feel very productive when I buy cleaning supplies. Whether I use them or not ... remains to be seen. Sigh.

We had a membership with Costco that lapsed two years ago. We still have bars of soap and razors that we got from there. The box of trash bags only ran out two weeks ago. Yeah, some of those warehouse club supplies take a while to go through. :)

I did use the cleaning supplies I got, though. Vindication!

I know exactly how that feels! I walk into a store needing something, and walk out with bags of random items which don't include the one I initially thought of.

Ouch. Hopefully you found enough "things" to keep you supplied for quite awhile.
