"Hey," I say to the indifferent interns. "Is this the prison hospital? When's my court date?" They don't answer me, and no one stops my avatar from wandering back to the street.

I recall there was speculation and hinting at allowing villains and heroes to cross over from one side to another via some kind of mission series or task force, but I don't think that anything actually came of it...

See, think of it this way, if you let people go back and forth, it'll blur the line between villains and heroes (not that there was much of one to start with considering you can't side with your own villain factions even) and make it trivial; if you only let people do it once, they'll go 'OMG mistake, life on hero side sucks so, so much' and want to go back. Maybe give people a limited number of times they can do this (once) and then allow them to redo it every N months.

Sadly the villainous side turned out to be just too much like the heroic side for me to want to keep playing on my Corruptor. I've started logging in now and then in an effort to get my Defender to 50 though.

Yeah, Club D was a mixed hero/villain zone too.

The occasional havoc mission was fun villain side but I guess I want something more... Talky? Multiple options to succeed? Picture a cross of Deus Ex and Bioware RPGs and MMOGs and you have something that won't be ready for the next ten years but will be unutterably awesome.

Daaaaaamn..... that's pricey.

I've gotten teleport stealth IOs for $10K inf. Best strategy is to bid reasonable but low (like 1mil inf) on a bunch of them that don't have any up, and wait a couple days, or weeks. Sometimes a lowball will come through.

Oh hmm, good idea! Lagkitten has teleport too. Superspeed is just handy because she pops SS for general instance stealthiness, but no reason I couldn't respec her to pop an extra slot into teleport.

Well, evidently it stacks with the -aggro radius that superspeed provides, so with both SS and a stealth of some kind, she'd be able to run through missions practically invisible.

I hadn't thought of teleport stealth, I'll have to price those out!

What are you guys playing now?

Lately, we've played... let's see...

34ish virtue villains, 26(?)ish virtue heroes, 40ish virtue heroes, 12-24ish pinnacle heroes, lowbie infinity villains, and the level 14(15?) pressure cookers on justice (/storm controllers).

And yes, super speed + stealth IO (running or jumping can be put in Sprint, so those are useful to any player) is invisibility except against a few enemies with +perception -- turrets and rikti drones, mostly. Oh, and KoA.

[Well. I never set foot off of Virtue if I can help it, myself, and I personally cringe at most of the redside missions - they strain my characterization on a very regular basis. I personally avoid speed, because it renders one unable to do mayhem/safeguard missions without racking up mindblowing levels of debt. I have a variety of heroes, but my highest villain is 16, and I rarely play her because she makes my hand hurt. Maybe the new powersets will bring something inspirational.]

How does speed hurt you in mayhem missions? It's the best travel power for them because of the built-in stealth and lack of vertical movement to summon the longbow eagle death squad.

[Because everything in Mayhem/Safeguard missions has inherent mindblowingly high perception. Normally you whiz past everything because of the +stealth in SS; in a Safeguard or Mayhem you get about fifteen steps and get turned into swiss cheese by everything on the street. Last time I was in a group Safeguard with SS, my poor Controller died four times just trying to join the rest of the group at the bank, in an even level mission.]

As far as I know (and most of my characters use superspeed and do safeguards and mayhems), only the ambushes see through stealth, and you should already be at the bank by the time they're a problem if you're rushing it. Plus getting shot doesn't kill your speed, so you can just keep going.

Really, it's jump and fly that always get me killed in mayhems. Especially fly since it's so slow.

[I don't know so much about Mayhems. In Safeguards, I get shot at by mobs on the opposite side of the street through Superspeed's stealth, and Invisibility gives me only slightly more safety against being shot at as walking around completely unstealthed does in other parts of the game, and significantly less than Stealth alone.]

I was with their groups on Virtue and Pinnacle.

Somewhat taking a break now, trying to get other things in my life fixed up and distractions aren't helping. So I'm off and on.

[No. Bid low and leave it sit overnight; the prices flux 50-70% sometimes over 24 hours as the economy shifts from the fast buy peak hour people digging at the fast sales to the lowball bidders slowly sponging down for the night and the Australian markets.]

The silly thing is that the controller trio would probably be best off street sweeping in hazard zones for xp. Unyielding is a challenge, but large groups of blues and whites aren't so much.

Of course, challenge helps with not falling asleep while waiting for enemies to fall over and not activating powers because you'll run out of endurance. Sooo looking forwards to stamina.

Yes, because I totally didn't play Sins of a Solar Empire for three hours after logging off, then write a half-delirious outline for a Crimson/Era romance based on mutual electrocution. @.@

The mutual electrocution was not the romance, it was just what sparked it. In that outline, which I might not use.

5's about half done, assuming it ends up being the same length as the others. Sooner or later I need to actually have some plot, though, which is starting to worry me.

Eventually, the characters have to remember about the plot, yes, and stop quibbling over who killed who.
