The entertainment value of spam

I never open spam, so I don't witness first hand the weird compilations of text that often fill them. However, I did get one today that didn't need to be opened to amuse me:

From: injected heroin
Subject: making you look and feel younger

And here I thought the only drugs touted in spam were Viagra and weight-loss quackery.

It is relatively rare that firstname/lastname generators use connected words -- I suspect a human made up the one you got. A human with some history...

On a related note, I've just learned that a friend is paying $15k per month to someone who gets a lot of spam (signing up for everything) and puts it into a searchable database -- so my friend can check on his competitors' junk mails. And tune his own.

I wonder how many other customers the spam reader has.
