I wish I could apologize this gracefully. I like the way there's a kind of contentment in Diana's face. Despite the scarring she still has a kind of beauty to me, especially in the top panel.
I'm kind of sorry this story starts where it does, because I think pages 14 & 15 would be much more powerful if the reader had actually seen Diana being a selfish primadonna in the past. When Peace says "you were never that bad" -- yes she was. You know she was. But it's still nice that Diana can apologize for it.

Date: 2005-07-19 02:29 pm (UTC)Perhaps Peace and Joy is chapter 2 of the story. Like "The Life and Death of Intelligence," it is now necessary to go back and tell Chapter 1.
For BarbX, it was first necessary to find out who she was and what the story was about. To do that, I had to let her live and breathe at her peak. Only then could I go back and find out how she became what she was.
When do we get to see Diana's story?
