I heard about that a few days ago, and I'm not sure whether to be exasperated or morbidly amused. Debbie's part of a class-action suit against Merck, there's no way she's ever going back on any Cox-2 Inhibitor. After dropping Vioxx, aside from the arthritis a lot of her health problems have cleared up and she's lost at least 40 pounds. I think Vioxx is one of those drugs like the antidepressants I used to take, where the side effects are worse than the treatment. Hrm, at least their stock going up means less chance of bankruptcy and more likelihood of Debbie getting some money out of them in court.
