I'd actually re-installed a livejournal client (I'm not sure if I was using Semagic when I wrote this or not, but I am now) some time after I got my new computer in August of 2002. Interestingly, my old version claimed to be, under "about", 1.2.1.1; I uninstalled it and installed the newest 1.3.7 (I think) but "about" still identifies the version as "1.2.1.1". It does (and did) have the spellchecker, and I can't see any differences between it and the version I'd been using. Peculiar.

In any case, thank you for the suggestion. :)
