There is one piece of good news about the "new and improved" OpenDiary: the link to your old journal operates by author code, so anyone who has bookmarked it will still be able to get there.
On the bad news front, the site kept bugging me to install a plugin (which I refused to do), had the usual FOD volume of pop-up ads, and when I tried to leave a note, I got a run time error every time I typed a character.
I guess that I'll take your post as encouragemnt to give up on checking OD once a month.
