I don't think that's weird at all! Consent is what turns torture into a game all participants enjoy, or, if it's not given, turns the chastest kiss into sexual harrassment... But, if there's noncon... I'm not your reader, unfortunately. Well, depends. If it's "this character was abused and now learns what a loving and consensual relationship is like" I *might* like it, as long as things aren't too angsty.
