Somehow it takes more time to publically serialize my finished novel than when I was simultaneously writing the book and serializing it for my beta readers
Because now you're polishing, and polishing is sometimes annoying. But it's also good! There will be a time to come where you will look back and be thrilled at how shiny that polish has made things.
and a fantastic Nightwish/Sabaton/Delain concert
Rowyn so sells this concert short. This particular combination of artists in their particular combination of setlists this tour has easily put this at the very top of my "best concerts I've ever attended" list. Easily. (Not counting ProgPower, but that's not a concert, that's a festival.
And seeing the space shuttle was really really cool. (As was meeting level_head)
The impossibility of Doing Everything weighs on me more than usual, perhaps because I feel like I've been been actually trying
You should take a lot of pride in actually making measurable dents in Doing Everything. The book is certainly a big chunk of your energy expenditure lately, and that totally makes sense, because there's a lot to be done, especially the first time around. But! You can also look at things and actually measure the progress, and watch the items on your to-do list disappear, one by one.
When I look at the list of things you got done last month, it pretty well amazes me. Let it amaze you, too!
