Oh yes, it's definitely not limited to romantic conflicts. I was trying to distill out not only the interpersonal conflicts of A Rational Arrangement, but also ones that came up in my other novels and stories. I love the conflicts that arise between characters not because one is wicked and the other good, but because they have different perspectives, backgrounds, views on what matters most.
