Heh heh. My experience with barn cats is a bit more varied. A local retired couple had a farm where my dad kept his airplane. (Part of a field was mowed out as a workable airstrip.) The status of being a cat at that place seemed to have a pretty high turnover rate. Sometimes, there would be friendly cats. Most of the time, there would be skittish cats. There was one cat that we called "Boots," on account of him being black save for white paws and a splotch on his chest, and he loved attention. He would come out and pester me and my dad when we came out to tend to the airplane and hangar. One time, my dad was fueling the plane - which meant being up on a ladder, since the wings are the tanks - and the cat wanted attention ... so it went around to the tail (which was low to the ground), hopped on, and walked all the way up to where it could stick itself in my dad's face. It had left a nice little trail of muddy paw prints all the way down the back of the airplane in its wake. My dad was simultaneously annoyed and amused. =)
