The death of rhymed and metered poetry would have been all right if it hadn't been replaced by the infinetly worse explosion of unrhymed and unmetered poetry. Glah.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did both of these assignments with an eye towards the humorous. It's hard to take myself to seriously in rhymed verse anyway. :)
