Okay, this one is terrycloth's fault.

Fluttershy as a Shadowbolt. From Terrycloth's fanfic, "No Need for Rainbows". Where it actually makes sense that Fluttershy is a Shadowbolt. No, really. The story is adorable, in fact. :)

This is my first attempt to synthesize my own pony; I used a bunch of ponypics for reference, but it's not actually a copy of any given picture.

It's a very menacing outfit! I tried to make Fluttershy look as unintimidating as possible in it, but yeah. n.n

I realized after I was mostly finished with it that the triangle goggles are off-model; I saw them on a fanfic piece and thought they looked cooler than the round-bottomed ones on a different fanfic piece. And then much later I finally found a shot from the show and ... oh. Oops.

Heh. (Re: "Menacing") It's kind of funny how all it takes are the triangle goggles to give a "menacing" vibe, even though that should probably be counteracted by the eyebrows.

Thanks! I'm wondering if I should've made the eyebrows a diffeetn color for more contrast. :) Probably using the canon round-bottomed goggles but leaving them horizontal instead of the canon tilt, would help.

Hmm, I think so, the eyebrows really don't show up at all! Maybe make them be pink like her hair? I mean, normally black eyebrows show up fine on her skin but since she's wearing the mask, to show her eyebrows you have to highlight them instead.
