Came home a bit late and had a long workout this evening, so I'm rather wiped out now.

It's February!

For the entire month of January, I posted a fiction* entry every day to unfinishedtales. I think a month of that was enough; it was getting to be too much like work. Which is not to say that I'm going to stop writing there, I'm just not going to push myself to get something up every day.

So it's a new month, and I want to do something new. Since I've got my markers (♥) now , I think I'll try koogrr's resolution of "twenty minutes of art every day". (But I'll only be doing this for February, not for the rest of the year). I won't necesssarily be doing a new sketch each day, just working on whatever I feel like for the twenty-minute minimum.

Getting a certain amount of art done daily has one big advantage over writing, namely that I can draw and talk on the phone at the same time. Since I call John most days anyway, it shouldn't be any great difficulty to draw or color while I'm at it.

I'm going to try to scan and post whatever I've worked on each day, for the days I'm not in Florida, so you can see my works-in-progress. I'm not sure how that'll go; it'll depend on how long it takes to do the scanning and posting. I don't mind committing to drawing for twenty minutes a day, but I'm not going to promise an additional twenty minutes of fussing with the scanner, resizing scans, fussing with FTP, and then linking. But if I can get the latter done painlessly enough I'll give it a go.

* For a given value of "fiction".

Since you've done markably well at UnfinishedTales, I expect that you'll have a lot of fun using your new devices on low-fiction surfaces.

And you should ignore anything that sounds like "oh no! cold turkey! gah!" comments from the audience. ];-)

I'm still trying to get drawing while on the phone to work.

Having to post a picture every day seemed more like production and work, than actual practice. Not sure I was getting any better, just quicker at my existing methods of making mistakes.
