howardtayler's strip, Schlock Mercenary, you should. Start at the beginning. Ignore the artwork; it gets better as time goes on. ;) The story is always good and the strips are always funny.
And may I recommend buying one of his shirts? They're very stylish.
(And Warehouse 23 is a spiffy place to shop, too!)
