Critiquing, shopping, and writing

Last night I spent way more time than I'd expected to critiquing a short story for a fellow member of SFNovelist. I'm seriously re-thinking my decision to join this group. I feel a bit guilty about the whole thing. Really, I only signed on to SFNovelist because a friend of mine belonged, and I'd written this short story that qualified for their annual contest. I'm not currently working on a SF novel, and though I am likely to write one at some time in the future, that day is at least a year or two down the line.
