You Think You're Running Behind?

From a letter I received today, dated May 13, 2003:

"Enclosed herewith is a copy of our invoice for the above-captioned commercial appraisal, which was completed in July 2001".

And no, we hadn't paid it already. I'm sending them a check today.

As a side note: the envelope was postmarked May 21, 2003. I gues they figured, after two years, there was no need to rush about mailing it. ;)

I took lunch earlier than usual. I am dying to get out of here. I don't want to work -- I want to go home and get started on my three-day weekend. Hurrah! Another week gone by.

I reserved a room at the ConQuesT hotel a few hours ago, just for Saturday night. I don't know if the cost is justified by level of enthusiasm, but I am feeling more excited about going than I have for the last several weeks. What the heck. It'll be fun. Maybe not as much fun as I'd have, oh, staying home and writing, but you never know. It might compete. :)

I've gotten some work done this week on re-vamping my book outline, though not as much as I'd hoped. Perhaps I'll work harder on it tonight. Don't know yet.

I am so anxious to be gone. I can hardly think of anything else. Not that I'm in a big rush to get to the con or anything ... I just want to be out of here. I'm full of nervous energy.

Well, I finished Time Enough For Love last night, and have been meaning to write something to LH about it (since I read it on his recommendation.) So I'll get started on that.
