I got a package in the mail yesterday, from a retailer in England. Hmm. I don't remember ordering anything from England. I opened it up, and inside was a book: Not the Only Planet. This was at the top of my Amazon wish list*, so I can surmise it was a gift and intended for me, but no purchaser information came with it.

So if you gave it to me -- thank you! Good timing, too -- now I'll have a new book to read on the flight on Monday. :D

* And while I'm wishing, I wish Amazon gave an easy way to update the "date stamp" of items on its wish lists. Most people seem to think that anything "old" on a wish list, you must not want any more.

Welllll....

There's a few ways to combat that. :)

A) Open multiple tabs/windows. In one, have the item. In the other, your wishlist. Delete the item from the wishlist, save changes. Flip to the other tab/window, add item to wishlist again.

B) Give the item a high priority.

C) Put a note in your bio-blurb (the thing that shows on the right side of the wishlist) that items stay on your wishlist until purchased or no longer wanted.

D) Put a comment on the item saying you still want this item.

Woot! Book gifts! Always a good thing. ;)

Wasn't me either, I don't check amazon for anything but hard to find books.
