Well, considering I had to hit google to find out what a cheese blintz is, I'd say you're probably right.
However, I would point out that the few google responces I got were from New Mexico, California, and Louisiana. :)
I *do* bet you could find some good ones in Austin, tho.
Heh. You'll have to forgive me. Having lived in New Jersey where the rivalry between the two states was rife, and then moving to San Antonio, (Home of Pace Picante Sauce) I just find it immensely amusing to shout "NEW YORK CITY!?!"
But, then again, I think you already know I'm a silly person, and that probably pretty much covers it. :)
