I usually see "free will" set up in opposition to "fate". I am more broadly rejecting the idea that one's parents/managers/government/etc force us to act the way we do -- that we're not responsible for our decisions because some other (non-mystical) force "made us" do it.

Other than that, pretty much the same idea, I think.
