On the Walk Home

I headed off from work with my nose buried in my Android, reading email as I started walking home.  After I finished the email, I opened up a file to poke at writing delight_in_wt's next entry.  I wrapped up her last arc and haven't really figured out what I'm doing with her next.

I'd better think of something, I thought.  Enjoying the fresh air and scenery on my walk home works fine, but when I'm exercising in the basement I'll need something to take my mind off the tedium.

Right. And I really can't skip the exercise bike tonight because I drove to work, so no exercise to-and-from work from walking for today.

...

Wait.  If I drove to work, why am I walking home?

...

I walked back to work, got in the car, and drove home.

I did something similar on Wednesday. Well, I forgot my keys and wallet at work, and got about a block and a half away from work before remembering... "Oh yeah, need the keys to open the car and drive it."

Naw, I did my 5.5 miles on the exercise bike anyway. Most weekdays I walk to/from work and use the exercise bike. Occasionally I'll skip one or the other, but I try not to skip both. :)

At least twice I've left my car at work and just walked back to get it the next day. I mean, really -- is Trask going to actually want to go somewhere?

I actually have walked all the way home before remembering that my car was at work. n.n And walked back to get it. In this case, I do need the car today to go somewhere, and of course I'm not working today. Trask and I usually do stuff with the car on the weekends, although during the week, yeah, we don't go anywhere apart from me going to work.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I've got a couple of entries in the queue currently, so we're good through at least next week.
