Re minor-but-constant-irritant, I find I run into an aversion when there's an inconvenience to doing a thing. For example, if things are stored above my reach height, I often won't go get them, or will try stretching/jumping to reach it. It's only a trivial 15 additional seconds to fetch the sturdy-but-still-light step ladder, unfold it, (get the thing), then fold and put the ladder away. But the extra steps (ha) are enough of a hindrance that I default to just not bothering.

I should leverage this to keep snacks I want in the house but shouldn't eat too much of. Hmmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmm.
