Justin: "I've studied several different styles and vary which I use based on the circumstances. I like to practice the Halfton style because it's grueling exercise -- very aggressive, very much based on intimidating one's opponent and takes advantage of raw power more effectively than most. But I don't rely on it, because in an actual duel I do not want to exhaust myself. But the Halfton style did prove to be useful when I was fighting Brogan's men, because I did not have the leisure of taking the measure of my opponents or letting them exhaust themselves first. I needed to dispatch them quickly, before reinforcements could arrive. The most popular schools are sport fencing, of course. I am no longer competitive in the sport; too many other things demanding my time. So I focus on techniques that would be most useful in serious duels or fights. There is, of course, some overlap."
