I was going to ping you if you didn't stumble over this post on your own. n_n I am partial to the Powers Enslaved setting myself. :) The main advantage to World Tree for me is that it's got a system attached, and having things be less hand-wavey sometimes makes players happier.
If you're curious about the World Tree setting, Sythyry's Journal is how I learned pretty much everything about it. (That links to the start of the journal. Current posts are the serialization of Mating Flight, which is also awesome but not about World Tree.) It's a good read! I recommend it, regardless of whether or not you ever play a World Tree game. :)
