Zeffy the Squirrel. Created in GURPS. She was an air mage, and a squirrel. Best known for turning a village full of people to stone to keep them from dying from plague, and breeding an army of clones to help her with spell research. And then a second army to try to get the first army under control after it revolted. And then a third army...

I don't remember his name, but there was this minotaur battle-sorceror I played in a D+D 3.5 game. Ludicrously cheesy, but in 3.5 that was fun. As a sorceror, he had int 4 (later reduced to 2 by a magic fountain; he needed to wear a headband of intellect to be able to talk!) and charisma >>20. So, he was the party's leader. Most of his plans were some variation of 'scream and leap'. Since he was ludicrously cheesy, it usually worked.

God, I'm terrible with names. Who was the Cytherian? Flying serpent with a poison sting and a Surfer-dude personality, his major skill was magical basket-weaving. He was too lazy to actually come up with a control scheme for his magical baskets, so he made them all sentient instead, and used animal handling and other social skills to control them. He also made friendship bracelets that charmed the wearer.

Pip from +TB+ probably qualifies. He was (an astral parasite hatched with the memories of) a science fiction fan, and a gifted storyteller, who did his best to rationalize away everything horrible that happened to him and his friends. The parts that couldn't be denied, he resolved to change instead, so that reality would match up with his fantasy. Because his fantasy was *better*. Early on, his friends asked him to be subtle about using his powers, so as not to give away the fact that there were magical alien parasites infesting the school -- so he decided to dress up as a superhero and start fighting crime. It made sense at the time!
