I've found artists' sketches can be very neat to look at - it shows you the thought processes behind their work. So for instance, this sketch of a comic page shows you considerably more about my character construction process than the inked version! If all you did was to look at people's finished work, you wouldn't learn a lot about art, because the whole point of finishing them is to hide the construction lines. };)
